This is a continuous inspiration for our business. It is a pleasure to design furniture or decoration items and have them skillfully lacquered, etched or decorated by talented Burmese artists. BAMAR DESIGN brings these individual items, each a work of art, into your home. We mainly focus on hand lacquered goods. The basic material for furniture is usually teak, which is then carefully hand lacquered. The basic material for containers, tableware, and some pieces of smaller furniture etc. is woven bamboo, hand lacquered. Wood for decoration is individually produced by highly skilled woodcarvers, piece by piece. We also carry some high quality factory made wood items. All our glass objects are mouth blown. The unique umbrellas are all made by hand from scratch, of bamboo and cotton, fermented persimmon glue and color. The temple brooms are not only extremely efficient for everyday use, but also highly decorative, as the palm leaves are bundled by ornamentally woven bamboo wickerwork.
